My UX/UI Journey!
Before becoming a designer, I was a hairstylist, barista, and an ice cream scooper. Through these jobs, I gained transferable skills such as the ability to collaborate with a wide demographic to achieve a goal, foster trusting relationships, and assess cues to better anticipate the needs of others.
In addition to making a difference in peoples’ lives, I was also able to use my love for art and deft craftsmanship to create beautiful and functional products. I’m thankful for the experience of working with non-traditional materials to create art. It was a reminder, that along with being aesthetic, art can be an outlet for expression, connection, and communication.
When I am not doing aerial yoga, hiking, arts and crafts, or capturing every moment of my adorable cat, I enjoy gaining new skill sets and creating aesthetic and user-friendly work as an individual and with others. I look forward to continue to impact peoples’ lives as a UX/UI designer.
